Minnesota Kite Society logo About Us

The Minnesota Kite Society was founded in 1985...

Its purpose is to encourage and promote an active interest in kiting. The Minnesota Kite Society (MKS) is non-profit, non-discriminatory, all volunteer, and dedicated to widening the base of kite flying by providing information, assistance, and direction to interested parties. Major events sponsored by the MKS include the St. Paul Winter Carnival's Frosty Fingers Kite Fly on the last weekend of January, the Kiwanis Kite Fly, the Flying Colors Kite Festival in August, and the One Sky One World kite fly for world peace and environmental awareness on the second Sunday of October.
