The Hudson Hot Air Affair is the city of Hudson's winter festival featuring a weekend of hot air balloons and so much more. On Saturday afternoon, Minnesota Kite Society members will fly kites from noon to 3 p.m. and will have kites for sale. Other indoor and outdoor activities that will occur at the school include a crafts sale, smoosh boarding (outside) and either hot air ballooning or a Field of Fire, depending on weather conditions.

We had a great time at the Hudson Hot Air Affair. The weather didn't cooperate for the balloons. The wind was very light throughout the day.

Fortunately everyone from the Fled Kite making workshop last December brought their finished fled kites which are great light wind kites. Also, Dave McKeen had his delta, Steve had his roller and Tom brought a kite train which were also great for the light wind.

As usual this was an excellent, well planned event. Our congrats and thank you to the Hot Air Affair organizers and their sponsors.

Hope you can all come out and join us for next year's event. Mark your calendar for the first Saturday in February.
