Kites will be available for sale in the shelter across the street from the lake: Food and refreshments will be available. Weather permitting, the festival will start at 11 a.m. on the snow and ice of Clear Lake. FFI and weather updates, see www.colorthewind.org as the date approaches.

It was a beautiful day at the 11th Annual Color the Wind festival in Clear Lake, IA.  The ice was safe, sun shine all day and temperatures around 35 degrees. The winds were light, which kept a lot of the kites on the ice. But there were some moments when we were able to put a few up.

Fire and Ice were there to do dual line stunt kite demonstrations and routines.  180-GO! was there to do Rev demonstrations and routines. Both groups did a great job putting on a show in extreme light winds.

Tom Cross had his kite memorabilia collection on display, Craig "Mr Kite" Christensen provided music and announcements through out the day.

Special thank you to Larry Day and his volunteers for putting on another successful festival.
