The 25th MKS Annual Meeting and Auction was a big success. We had attendance from 27 members which is up from recent years. We got our business done, earned some funding for the next year and had a great time doing it.

This year's meeting and auction was at the Cherokee Tavern in St Paul. It was a really nice room, good food, excellent wait staff. Thank you to the Cherokee Tavern and it's staff!

In the meeting the board for 2012 was presented. Next year the President will be Dean Murray, Vice President will be Ken Wilkowski, Treasurer will be John Kaulbars and Secretary will be Brad Klages.

Awards were presented next. Tom Cross presented the Lead Kite award to Dean Murray citing an incident between one of Dean's kites and a pine tree in Siren, WI.

Next Tom presented several President's Awards to acknowledge service to the club. Awards were presented to John Kaulbars for his continued service as Treasurer, Dave Herzig for his work with kite making workshops and promotion of kiting and to Dean Murray for his work creating the MKS website and service on the board.

Tom also presented the Hod Taylor award to Craig Christiansen. Craig won the award last year but not able to attend.

Ron Pegg presented this year's Hod Taylor award to Ken Wilkowski for his service to the club and promotion of kiting in the community. Congratulations Ken!

The evening finished with the silent and verbal auction. We had a lot of great items donated and club did really well. Thank you to everyone that donated items to the MKS. A detailed list of donors will be added to this page soon.
