Sled Kite Making Workshop (MKS)

When Sat, January 11, 10am – 4pm

Where Brunswick United Methodist Church, 6122 42nd Avenue North, Crystal, MN 55422 (map)

Description Maybe you’re thinking about taking a trip to a warmer climate and bringing along a small kite to fly on the beach. We will be making an easily packable Team Larkey Notch Sled kite. This two color kite is perfect for any level of sewer and great to have in the trunk of your car or offer to a young flyer.

The kite requires a piece of fabric 21” x 30” of one color and a second color that is 21" x 13”. A fuzzy tail will be added, with a finished dimension of 2” x 15’.

The workshop will be held at the Brunswick United Methodist Church. The address is 6122 42nd Avenue North, Crystal, MN 55422. The fee to rent the space will be determined the day of the workshop.

We had a good turnout to make sled kites. It was a fun project, easy to finish and taught some basic sewing skills.

Thanks to Pam Hodges for organizing the workshop, to Ken Wilkowski for getting us a location to have the event and for providing materials.
