From the Cherry Tree Celebration location, we will all proceed to the kite flying demo area, which will take place beginning at 10:00 am. Mr. Nakamura will bring 10 kites to add to the 50 kites the City of Saint Paul has received over the past years and fly the 60 kites to commemorate its partnership. The location for the demonstration will be the northwest corner of Lexington Parkway and Como Avenue/Horton Avenue.
You are invited to join us for lunch at Ngon Bistro, located at 799 University Avenue West in St. Paul. Lunch will be around noon, following the kite flying demonstration.
At 2:00, Mr. Nakamura will have a kite making workshop. The event will be held at the Conway Rec Center from 2:00 until 4:00 pm located at 2090 Conway Street in St. Paul. There will be 75 kites available to be made with a cost of $5.
