Any interest in a kitemaking workshop?

Post date: Oct 28, 2010 2:11:07 PM

We received an email asking if there is interest in a regional kitemaking workshop. It is still in the early stages of planning. The weekend is March 4-6, 2011. It would be in Des Moines, IA.

If you are interested please contact Linda at airhead@kc.rr.com.

OK, some of you know that a few of us have been looking into having a small local kitemaking workshop. This is the ONLY weekend available for a workshop—and it is very close time wise.

We need committed attendees, ready to reserve their hotel rooms, and ideas for retreat names, and projects. I am still figuring costs. Rooms would be about $100 per night, then the registration fee to pay the shared classroom and (hopefully) the instructor’s room, and kits will be extra. First couple years would be very lean, with local instructors paying for their own transportation and lodging—but if you look, we have a TON of local people that teach at Fort all the time at the national level.

Still a lot of planning, but if we organized it, who is in?
