Dave Herzig from MKS put on a kite making workshop as part of Ben Franklin Family Day at the Minnesota History Center. The kids made sled kites with a special Ben Franklin design available. There was a steady stream of kids throughout the afternoon. A lot of fun!

Tom Cross from MKS displayed his Kite Memorabilia Collection in the main atrium of the History Center. There was lots of interest and people really enjoyed seeing the many kite themed items.

Unfortunately kite flying wasn't possible. There was plenty of wind, but the yard was small and the wind was extremely unstable as it swirled around the building.
