Mark your calendars – the Date will be Sunday December 5th 11:00 am to 4:00 pm At the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge Visitor’s Center in Bloomington [3815 American Blvd. East, Bloomington, MN 55425] We will have Dave Herzig leading the community outreach for kids and families kite building portion.

And Tom will have a Fly with the Commemorative Swallow Kite(s) at some point – or points – during the day.

These are the kites that have made the symbolic migration following the birds from MN to Alaska and back. There will be film previews throughout the day as well – The Refuge, American Wilderness Icon and a film hosted by the MN Valley Refuge staff about the National Wildlife Refuge in Minnesota. We are also looking into having live raptors at the event, and media coverage for the event with local media celebrities.
