01/08/2011 - 11th Annual Lake Harriet Winter Fest and Kite Fly
When: Sat, January 8, 11am – 4pm
Where: Lake Harriet (north side by the bandshell), 4135 West Lake Harriet Parkway, Minneapolis, MN
Description: Come out and join other folks in a fun-filled day of activities at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. Event includes kite flying, horse drawn wagon rides, ice fishing, food and refreshments, and more! Kites to be available at the lake for those who come without one.
Directions: From I-35W in Minneapolis, exit at 46th Street. Go west to East Lake Harriet Parkway and turn right. Follow the parkway to the north side of the lake. Parking is available in lots near the bandshell and on the parkway.
Thank you to everyone that came out to Lake Harriet this year! We had a great turnout.
It was a beautiful sunny winter day. A bit chilly, the winds were lighter than forecast but, we were able to fly some kites and have a great time.
